Saving

How do I save from another app?

In Safari, Photos, Files, Mail, YouTube or almost any app, tap the Share button and choose Hey Bungee. If it isn’t in the row of apps, scroll to the end, tap More, then Edit, and tap the green + next to Hey Bungee. In Bungee, Settings › Share menu setup walks you through it.

Can I add things from inside Bungee?

Tap + at the bottom of the library to take a photo of a receipt, add photos or screenshots (up to 300 at once), a PDF or document, a note, or a link.

How long does reading take?

A receipt, photo or link is usually read in a few seconds. A long PDF or a video takes longer and finishes in the background; you can keep using Bungee meanwhile.

Will saving photos use extra space?

No. Photos from your library stay in Photos. Bungee keeps a small preview and a link to the original.

Finding

How should I search?

Type what you remember, the way you’d say it: “is the washer still under warranty”, “how much vinegar for the coffee maker”, “what gate is my flight”. Bungee searches the words and their meaning, and each result shows the line that matched and why.

How do I ask out loud?

Tap the microphone in the search bar and speak. The first time, iPhone asks to allow the microphone and speech recognition. Your voice is turned into text on your iPhone. Bungee answers with the save and the page or moment, and can read the answer aloud. Tap “Type instead” to type your question.

How do I get to the exact page or moment?

Tap a result. The save opens with a “Found here” card: “Open at page 12” opens the PDF at that page with the words marked; a video plays from the moment the words were said.

Can I copy or listen to what Bungee read?

Yes. Press on any word to select it, then Copy, Select All or Look Up. The small icons under the text copy it all or read it aloud. “Read” opens a clean, full-screen version with find-in-text.

Returns, warranties and deposits

How does Bungee know my return window?

When you save a receipt, Bungee reads it on your iPhone: the store, the total, the date, and a printed “return by” date or return period if there is one. It shows you what it found and offers a reminder a few days before. You can change the date, or set your own.

What if it read the date wrong?

Open the save and change the date; Bungee always shows where a date came from so you can check it against the receipt. Dates are suggestions to help you remember, not advice.

How do I use the Move-in kit?

Save your lease, then tap “Hold your move-in photos?” on it, or start from the Move-in kit. Bungee reads what it can from the lease, asks for the rest, and walks you room by room. At move-out, the same shots come back so each new photo sits next to its move-in twin. See the move-in photo checklist.

Hey Bungee Plus

What does Plus add?

PDF proof packets (deposit, insurance claim, car service history, project closeout) and iCloud sync. Everything that saves, reads, reminds and answers stays free.

How do I cancel or restore?

Cancel any time in the iPhone Settings app › your name › Subscriptions, or from Bungee’s Settings › Hey Bungee Plus › Manage subscription. On a new iPhone, open the Plus screen and tap Restore Purchases. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

How does iCloud sync work?

Turn it on in Bungee’s Settings › iCloud sync (it needs Plus, iCloud signed in, and iOS 17 or later). Your saves go to your own private iCloud database and appear on your other iPhone or iPad with the same Apple Account. Changes from other devices arrive when you open Bungee. Turning sync off keeps everything on this iPhone and in iCloud.

Your library

How do I back up or move to a new iPhone?

Bungee is included in your iPhone’s iCloud Backup, and with Plus, iCloud sync keeps your saves on your other devices too. You can also go to Settings › Export my library to save one file to Files, iCloud Drive or AirDrop, then on the new iPhone open Bungee and choose Settings › Restore from an export (or “Restore a library” on the welcome screen). Saves you already have aren’t duplicated.

Can I lock Bungee?

Yes. Settings › Face ID lock.

How do I delete everything?

Settings › Erase everything removes every save and everything Bungee kept about them. Deleting the app does the same.

Which iPhones and languages are supported?

iPhone with iOS 16.4 or later, in English and Spanish (iCloud sync needs iOS 17). Summaries written by Apple Intelligence appear on iPhones that support it; everything else works on all of them.

Privacy

Bungee collects no data and has no account or server. iCloud sync uses your own iCloud account, which we can’t read. Read the full Privacy Policy.
