Apple return policy: how long do you have?
The Apple return window for most things, the exceptions that are shorter, and what to bring, read from Apple’s own policy page.
Apple gives you 14 calendar days to return an item, counted from the date you received it.
Apple return windows
| What you bought | Window | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Products bought from Apple | 14 days | Calendar days, from the date you received it |
When the clock starts
The 14 days are calendar days, weekends included, from the day the item arrived.
Receipts and lookups
Products bought from another retailer go back to that retailer. Returns are handled in the country where you bought the item.
Refunds
For card payments, Apple sends the refund to your card issuer within five business days of receiving the return.
Don’t lose the window
Two weeks goes fast with a new laptop. Decide before the second weekend.
Let the receipt remind you
Snap or share your Apple receipt into Hey Bungee. It reads the store, the total and the return date, and comes back a few days before the window closes. Free, on your iPhone, no account.
Launching soon. Scan or tap now and it opens in the App Store on launch day.
